Introduction
Riddle brings prediction market contracts from Kalshi, Polymarket and Limitless into one shape so your code stops writing a new adapter for every venue.
Each venue publishes its own identifiers, price conventions and market metadata. A research system that wants to reason across venues spends most of its time reconciling those differences instead of using the data. The Riddle API does that reconciliation once and hands back a single shape.

- List and search: markets across covered platforms, filtered by title substring, platform and category, with cursor pagination.
- Market detail: one market addressed by its platform and platform market id.
- History: Riddle observations of a market over a requested window.
- Service endpoints: health, capabilities and the machine-readable OpenAPI document.
What it does not doPermalink to this section
- No order placement, routing or execution. Riddle is a research and information platform, not a broker, exchange or trading venue.
- No executable quotes. Probabilities are indicative observations, not prices you can trade at.
- No claim that two contracts on different platforms are economically equivalent. Search returns candidates that match a title substring; wording and settlement still need checking at the venue.
- No venue status, close time or settlement fields, and no order book, OHLCV or volume time series.
- No streaming or websocket transport.
How these docs are organisedPermalink to this section
- Getting started walks through a first request end to end.
- Authentication covers the x-api-key header and key handling.
- Markets is the endpoint reference for list and search, market detail and history.
- Service endpoints covers health, capabilities and the OpenAPI document.
- Data semantics explains probabilities, identifiers, timestamps and feed presence so the numbers are not misread.
- Errors and Rate limits cover failure handling and the development ceilings.
- Changelog records contract changes so an integration can track them.
Kalshi, Polymarket and Limitless are named for identification only. Riddle is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by any of them, and nothing in these docs is financial, investment or trading advice.
